It's winter in SoCal and you've decided you want to take a road-trip. Before you head out, it's important to be prepared for any emergency on the road. We've come up with a list of a few items that you might want to add to winterize your emergency kit.
1. An Umbrella ☂️
Just in case it rains during one of those many roadside pit-stops.
2. A Blanket
For those crisp nights on the road.
3. First Aid Kit 🤕
There might be a clumsy person in your crew that'll need a band-aid.
4. A Portable Charger
Because, after belting out one-too-many 90's alt hits, you're phone is practically dead.
5. Gloves
To keep your hands from getting numb while on 10 and 2.
6. Jumper Cables
You never know when you might have battery issues.
7. A Flashlight 🔦
You shouldn't rely on your phone to do all the work.
8. Matches & Flares 🔥
These are some of the best ways to flag down some roadside assistance. (Just keep the flames away from any brush)
9. A Gas Canister
Did you see a gas station a few miles back?
10. A Water Bottle
11. Some Energy Bars 🥜
Snacks... Do we need to say more?
Bonus Items If You're Hitting the Slopes
1. A Collapsible Shovel
Just in case in snows on your drive up the mountains
2. Rock Salt or Kitty Litter 🙀
For the icy patches and slippery wheels
3. Extra Windshield Wiper Fluid 🚘
To melt the ice off your windshield
4. Ice Scraper
Just in case the wiper fluid doesn't cut it.
Are there any other items that we left out? Maybe you have a winter road trip story you want to share where one of these items came in handy. Let us know in the comments below. Safe Travels!!
