Giving Tuesday is tomorrow and we want to highlight some of the local charities and non-profits that are helping those less-fortunate during the holiday season.
Meals on Wheels: This is a federally supported program that fights hunger and isolation for our Senior Citizen population.
Feeding America: This is a hunger-relief program that provides meals to people through food banks by saving food from going to waste.
Tree People: This organization plants and gives fruit and shade trees to schools, parks, neighborhoods in need to combat climate change and hunger. They also restore areas that have been affected by forest fires or fungal problems.
Bame Project LA: This outreach effort engages minority communities to help address contributing factors to Mental Health issues. They do this by setting up a free pop-up shop for people with gently used clothing, new hygiene supplies, pet food, literature about mental health. Sometimes they partner up with professionals to provide free hair-cuts and mini make-overs.
There are so many good people in the world trying to spread love and support those who need it. If know of any organizations doing good in the world that you think needs to have a spotlight, let us know in the comments. We want to share their efforts with our network too.
Give us a call at (323)277-2850 so we can try to save you some money on your insurance and you can keep on giving to awesome charities.
Best,
